Character Biography
Like the pure fury of the flames they use, the Firebugs are a veritable force of destructive nature. While the identities of these mysterious flame-obsessed soldiers are a mystery, even among the highest level intelligence agencies, their methods of chaos and carnage are anything but mysterious.
Rumor has it that some of the men who assisted Fireball in his operation in Berlin, Germany, which was thwarted by the Bulldog Brigade, later joined him in his international criminal organization, a private mercenary-for-hire group that specialized in highly sophisticated explosive demolition and sabotage.
Making a name for themselves with a series of calculated explosive attacks around Europe several years ago, they became the focus of an International task force which intercepted and halted a handful of their most devastating attacks. After the operation in Berlin, Firebug and his strange team of explosive experts disappeared, fading into the blackness of the criminal underworld.
But R.I.O.T. brought them back to the surface.
With the destructive emergence of R.I.O.T., Fireball and his new team, now called the Firebugs came back to the International stage, this time equipped with far more sophisticated flame based weaponry. Shifting their focus from explosives to fire, these terrorists have a true scorched Earth policy, burning whatever stands in their way to the ground. Like the bombs they used to use, their fire is highly advanced, almost seeming to bend to their will and resist many forms of typical fire suppression techniques. With this new enhanced pyrotechnic weaponry and a fierce devotion to the whims of the flame, the Firebugs are a threat unlike many have ever faced. Good thing Eagle Force is there to try and stand in their way!
