Character Biography
The force of an international terrorist organization is only as strong as their weakest link, and in many cases, the nameless and faceless infantry can be considered the weakest link. Not so much with R.I.O.T.
Forming the backbone of the R.I.O.T army, the R.I.O.T. Shock Trooper is their version of urban infantry, highly trained and skilled operatives with an axe to grind and resources as their disposal.
When selecting operatives for the R.I.O.T. Shock Trooper pool, the organization isn’t afraid to dip into the prison systems or look for ex-military from all nations, seeking out the disenfranchised, angry, and downright aggressive members of society. Men and women who have slipped through the cracks with a chip on their shoulder, willing to do almost anything to feel important once again.
Once selected and moved into the recruitment process, there is still a large percentage of washouts, prospective troopers who can’t handle the rigor of R.I.O.T’s military training, and rumors have it that these washouts simply disappear without a trace or are used as decoys or cannon fodder during particularly hostile operations at home and abroad.
Those who do make it through end up conditioned and equipped to the level of many advanced international military organizations, with access to the latest weaponry and tactical technology. As some of these Shock Troopers are ex-military or folks who couldn’t handle the discipline of typical military, they relish at the opportunity to get their hands on weapons and gear that bring them back into that military-like world.
The R.I.O.T. Shock Troopers are the perfect blend of intelligence, tactical awareness and physical conditioning, willing to fight for what they believe is right and only too eager to die for the cause. They are the lowest rung on the R.I.O.T ladder, but don’t try to tell them that.
