Character Biography

Hitler had a vision of the future, and in that future he saw the world united under one banner. The road to get there, however would not be easy, and called for a multi-tiered domination strategy.

While all the highest members of the Reich organized their parts of the plan, Hitler assigned a very special task to a man he had met in prison. That man was Frederick Himmelstoss, known on their cell block as "Ultima Thule," (for his preaching of the Thule legend.) For long nights the two of them had talked about the state of the world, and whether the Aryan people could reclaim the might of their long lost Thulian ancestors.

When the two were released from prison, Himelstoss rejoined the Thule Society to continue his studies of the ancient land and the supermen who had inhabited it. He eventually grew frustrated with the leadership of the group, however, and radicalized, beginning his own para-military off-shoot. They called themselves, “The Harbingers of Thule.”

The Harbingers dedicated themselves to the pursuit of physical and spiritual perfection. They trained in the art of both martial and military combat, but also spent long hours in their secret temple meditating and performing unseen rituals.

Once the Nazis ascended to power and the war-machine was in full swing, Hitler tapped Himelstoss to protect his most secretive of weapons programs…the Panzerverks Initiative. They would operate outside of the normal Nazi structure in a secret location. This way, it was hoped that they would be immune to infiltration and sabotage. Himelstoss’ group was 100% dedicated, and Himelstoss himself had become a paragon of Thulian virtue. They were the absolute best option for the job.

The rules laid down were clear. The Harbingers and Panzerverks would not be the same entity. One was there to independently protect the other. Himelstoss did not answer to Count St. Cross, and vice-versa. The two have had their differences to be sure, but for the most part, they stay out of one another’s way.

As the “Ultima Thule,” Himelstoss is like a high priest to a cult of warrior monks. He is a perfect specimen of the human physique…honed to a dangerous degree. Mentally, he is fast and decisive, able to make rapid calls on the battlefield and lead his troops with an unwavering resolve. But despite his finely tempered character, he is by no means a saint. Himelstoss is a racist in the extreme, and looks forward to the day when only the descendants of Thule walk the Earth. He is capable of utter cruelty, and absent of any remorse or care.

According to Agent Echo, the Harbingers of Thule become a very powerful force in the Reich World Order. They have near limitless autonomy, and are rumored to have re-occupied the Thule homeland of Inner Earth. Whispers of strange and frightening things were starting to surface of what was being unearthed, and signs were beginning to point toward global catastrophe.

Certainly, there could be no worse barrier to penetrate in order to destroy Panzerverks than the Harbingers of Thule…and no man more dangerous to battle in single combat than the Ultima Thule himself.
