Character Biography
Dax Northender was a Renaissance Man. He was a scientist and philosopher, but most of all, an Adventurer. Many of his discoveries would re-write the history books on mankind and its origins, and he became one of the most famous men in the world. Though he traveled extensively, he would always call Manhattan home. His friends included Rockefellers and Rothchilds, movie stars and scientists, but when Germany's thirst for power finally brought the Reich to France's doorstep, Dax Northender received quite possibly the most important call of his life.
The Reich were on the verge of something big, and their sinister agenda had been verified by a mysterious traveler. Dax Northender was called upon by the President to target the Axis Power's new prototype weapons initiative, the "Panzerverks," as well as the man brought-in to run it...the shadowy DR. Count St. Cross...Dax Northender's old adversary.
America's own special weapons initiative was years behind the Germans, and the US had not yet entered the war. So, Northender was charged with assembling a group of specialized individuals who already had the necessary talents or technology to properly combat the Panzerverk threat. Anyone could be brought in. He needed merely to list their names.
Northender's intelligence, charisma, and skill in combat made him the most obvious choice for team leader, but it was the words of one man who got him the job over the dozens of obvious choices already serving in the military. That man...was AGENT ECHO.
